About oxycut:
-
Oxycut, or torch cutting, is a manual process used to cut a wide range of metal products. A flame, fueled by oxygen and one other flammable gas, such as acetylene, hydrogen or propane, is directed by a nozzle onto the cutting surface, thereby heating it to the point that is can be cut. A second flame, fueled by pure oxygen does the actual cutting. The two flames can reach up to 3500°C, hot enough to cut through most metals. Torch cutting does not melt the metal, but instead burns it. This produces a finer cut and avoids deformed edges on the work piece.
